A graduate of Washington State University School of Architecture in 1967 David has an extensive background and has contributed to the success of many projects. Today he provides computer based architectural design, planning & consulting services from his office in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Recent and current projects include residential, small commercial, additions & alterations, planning and historic preservation.

David and his wife, Carol enjoy travel and have visited Hong Kong, India, Nepal, Israel, Turkey, Europe the Caribbean and Mexico. Travel is very important to David and provides inspiration in his personal and professional interests. Living in the mountains and traveling are the background experiences for his professional work and a keen awareness of history and the environment. His mission is to help create new buildings that are harmonious with their environment and successfully fulfill the needs of the client and all who use them.

  A list of David's accomplishments includes:

Over 100 single family residential projects throughout the Roaring Fork Valley from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. David incorporates aspects of passive solar, natural and artificial lighting and landscape design into all residential projects.

  In 1971 David with his family founded the Fairhaven Bicyle Shop in Bellingham, WA. In 2003 he designed a new building for the bike shop that is today one of the anchor businesses in the Historic Fairhaven District.  
 
 

In 2004 David received a Colorado A.I.A. Merit Award for Design Excellence for his role in the City of Aspen Water Place Housing Project. In 1996-97 David was the Project Manager for the planning, design and construction of the City of Aspen Water Place Housing Project. It was the first certified “Green” multi-family housing on the Western Slope of Colorado.

Currently projects include several small commercial infill projects in the Historic Fairhaven District in Bellingham, Washington.

In 1992-94 Project Architect responsible for the production of the public works bid documents for the Washington State University campus wide telecommunication infrastructure renewal project. The completed project provided Washington State University with a common utility for the transmission of data, video and voice signals on an integrated campus network.

In 1985 David was a member of the planning and design team that constructed a pedestrian bridge and other improvements linking north Glenwood Springs to the historic downtown core area on the other side of the Colorado River.
